![[community profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/community.png)
Important Dates: Collecting Prompts until July 6, 2025, which is when a new post with all the prompts will be organized and viewable for anyone to grab and start writing! No time limit after that!
Notes/Other Key Info: PROMPT AS MUCH OR AS LITTLE AS YOU WISH! THE MORE THE MERRIER! You want a full sentence or song title or whatever go ahead, or you can just do simple one or two worded prompts. If you have more than one prompt for a pairing, please separate by a comma (such as Cyclops/Rogue - bed, kiss, butterfly kisses) Comment as many times as you want, or just edit your comments before July 6th. I'll make a Masterpost for all the prompts that day and start the challenge then. If it happens where no one comments, I'll try to make up my own list up with various pairings, not just everything I ship.
Got this little card today

So I opened another pack from that Pokemon TCG app and it gave me this

What a nice addition. Already have a MewTwo card so this is getting better as I go along.
In fact, using Mew seems easier than MewTwo giving how little orbs it takes to use the card in comparison. It also gives the option to mimic an attack from your opponent's card they currently have in battle. Quite a nice little card overall.
I like Mew just as well.

We're having to rebuild the search server again (previously, previously). It will take a few days to reindex all the content.
Meanwhile search services should be running, but probably returning no results or incomplete results for most queries.

Name: Val
Age: 47
I mostly post about: Being Gen-X, Canadian, ramblings of day to day life, my mental health, sometimes the state of the world (though I try to keep that to a minimum), what I'm currently reading, Nelson shenanigans (my cat)
My hobbies are: I knit and crochet; writing, watching movies/television (mostly drama and British telly), reading, 'cozy' colouring with alcohol markers, music (love to listen to new things)
My fandoms are: I used to be very into fandoms 10 or so years ago, but not so much anymore. It can be exhausting.
I'm looking to meet people who: above all, are kind. 20+ of age, and have some interests in common. It would be ideal if you like to comment on entries.
My posting schedule tends to be: aiming for daily, but likely a few times a week. I'm journaling again at the suggestion of my therapist.
When I add people, my dealbreakers are: the usual: racism, anti-LGBTQIA+. I used to be a big Harry Potter fan, but no longer and I generally stay away from those who still embrace the fandom, JKR, and the books/movies.
Before adding me, you should know: I'm a very kind and sensitive person and try to be thoughtful and respectful when commenting on others entries, so I hope to receive the same in return. Also, I have an odd sense of humour and I use "LOL" and "<3" a lot.

Name: Blythe
Age: 37
I mostly post about:
Life on the Cornish coast, daily swims in the sea, studio days at the pottery wheel, what’s blooming in the garden, what I’m reading (mostly mid-century women writers), the small rituals that keep me steady, and occasional thoughts on slow living and soft rebellion.
My hobbies are:
Ceramics, sea swimming, baking things that go with tea, reading literary fiction (especially anything with layered domestic dynamics and quiet emotional collapse), pressing flowers into notebooks, and making seasonal playlists.
I'm looking to meet people who:
Write or read with heart, find beauty in the everyday, value kindness, know the pleasure of a well-brewed pot of tea, or also spend entire evenings choosing which notebook to start. Anyone who understands that joy and sadness often walk hand in hand.
My posting schedule tends to be:
Softly inconsistent— I'm aiming for 2-3x week, sometimes once a week, sometimes three times in a day if I’m feeling chatty or emotionally unspooled. Usually seasonal—more reflective in winter, more playful in summer.
When I add people, my dealbreakers are:
Cruelty, racism, snobbery, homophobia, transphobia, or taking yourself far too seriously. I’m not here for edge for edge’s sake.
Before adding me, you should know:
I write a little like I talk—long, meandering, full of parentheses and feelings. I will absolutely comment on your post about moss or jam or the book you half-finished three years ago. I’m not perfect, but I’m trying to be soft on purpose.

No Sonic Adventure remake, but...
Jun. 29th, 2025 12:03 am![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)

Found this article about why there might not he a remake of said game.

"Sonic Adventure fans might not be happy to hear this, but there aren’t any plans to come out with a remake or remaster anytime soon.
Takahashi Iizuka, head of Team Sonic, was recently asked about revisiting the game in an interview. The takeaway here is that Iizuka believes it’d take a huge effort to bring the experience up to today’s “standards and expectations” – as much as a new title would apparently. Because of that, he feels working on a new game instead makes more sense.'
Iizuka has also shown interest in making Sonic Adventure 3. However, it’s unclear if that’s still something he’d want to pursue."- Nintendo Everything
I'm fine with that. If they choose to create an actual sequel to those games then there's plenty to speculate about than remastering existing titles.

And the results are:
"Your toxic trait:
The Drama Llama
I'm a Drama Llama. I think I am deeper and more unique than most people, but am actually just high-maintenance. Self-awareness is the first step!"
Well, I try not to be.

Messing with AI stuff

So I'm trying some of those AI art generators here and there, and while some think this may well be an alternative to actually pick up your pencil and create your own thing...it isn't.
Sure, some results look nice, especially with likes of Pokemon and other well known IPs. But mostly something tragic spews out the results, which comes to the equivalent of sheer nightmare fuel with characters sprouting extra limbs, fingers, eyes, etc...or becoming a melty mess to the point you have no idea WTF you're looking at.
So if anyone believes they could use such "generated" content for the sake of becoming a better artist, I'll tell you that it could potentially make your skills a whole lot worse.
I'm not that skilled at drawing, but I at least know where eyes on a face are placed.
Just saying.
Still, its amusing to see what mess it shoots out whenever I try and poke it.

Hobbit Time;>!

So, I'm sitting on my porch, smoking a Hobbit/Churchwarden pipe, looking downhill to the TVA reservoir cove we live above, watching the birds and bees. Nice.....
This yr I planted Balsam Impatiens in the elevated beds along the N side of the house. My brother, Bless him's heart was in the right place when he put them in before we moved here but he's basically the anti-gardener. He can grow a lawn and that's about it so he didn't know that the N side of a house limits what you can grow. It'd be perfect for mini Hostas but they'd basically be tv trays for deer! I've had/have plenty of Tiarella/heucheras, Bleeding Hearts, Cyclamen and Columbine so after Spring blooms are a bit scarce. I'd originally planned to plant the Balsams in the E garden but with health issues this yr I wasn't able to go about on my knees so I just stuffed them in where there was space. So far they're Mauve and Lilac the former much more vigorous. The Bumblebees love them, esp the Mauves.
Lost pretty much all Lilies not far in the back of the beds to deer. Don't like the leaves but the blossoms?!?
With all the Rain we had this Spring I've lost about 1/2 my Lavender cultivars. Thankfully, most of those were Lavandins and the more sweet(and edible) angustifolias oddly were the survivors...including one vera from seed!
Unfortunately, with the various health issues and accompanying md visits I've hadn't the time, energy or md clearance(just had a spinal electric pain reliever installed 2 weeks ago) to even spend time smoking my pipe and watching the birds(and for you "woo-folk", Nature Spirits;>), let alone keep my beds up. Thankfully, things are slowed WAY down and starting this week I can do more than I have. Got the front 3 ft of the W front yard bed weeded and gave the Salvias a bit of a late "Chelsey Chop";>.
Slow and easy does it!
Cheers, Pat
